Work overview

Our mental health promotion work is split into two main areas:

National Mental Health Promotion

The Mental Health Foundation has a contract with the Ministry of Health to take a leadership role in the dialogue with the New Zealand public about mental health and wellbeing and to support the development of a well-informed and capable workforce.

The work encompasses research and information; advocacy and policy development; organisational and community development; workforce development; and social marketing and public education.

Our mental health promotion team is split across all three of our offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

For further information about our work please see Projects & Activities or email amanda "at" mentalhealth.org.nz

Regional Like Minds, Like Mine

While the Like Minds, Like Mine project has a national focus and profile, much of the work across the country is delivered by regional providers in their local communities. The Mental Health Foundation has a contract with the Ministry of Health as one of those providers and this work is delivered from all three of our offices.

This work covers a range of activities in the following areas as defined by the Like Minds, Like Mine National Plan: supporting leadership by people with experience of mental illness; workforce and organisational development; research and policy; work with specific population groups; and media work.

For further information about our work please see Projects & Activities or email freedom "at" mentalhealth.org.nz
